Furino rescues Hawks with back-to-back goals
WENHAM, Mass. – Less than a minute after Gordon took its first lead of the game, John Furino kept the University of Hartford men’s lacrosse team unbeaten. Furino found the back of the next over 42 seconds late in the fourth quarter to turn a one-goal deficit into a one-goal lead as the Hawks escaped with the 9-8 win over the Scots Wednesday. The freshman tied a career-high with four goals in the game, the final being the game-winner with 59 seconds remaining in the contest.
