Top 5 performances from 2023 McDonald’s All-American boys game
1. D.J. Wagner, CG, signed with Kentucky
Wagner became the first-ever third-generation McDonald’s All-American on Tuesday night and led Team East to a comeback victory in the process. His father, Dajuan (2003), and grandfather, Milt (1981), each appeared in the all-star showcase but D.J. probably had the best showing of them all. After going scoreless in the first half, the Kentucky commit notched all of his 19 points in the second half to complete the comeback and earn co-MVP honors alongside Collier.

D.J.’s impressive performance might’ve been aided by the fact that he pulled up to the McDonald’s All-American Game driving a Rolls Royce Cullinan thanks to an NIL partnership with Lex Exotics. Calipari has a history of developing NBA-caliber guards and D.J. appears to be next up. His pairing with Bradshaw in Lexington should strike fear into the hearts of Kentucky’s opponents.
