Upstate Splits Mid-Week Non-Conference Contest During Road Games Against the Paladins of Furman
GREENVILLE, S.C. – USC Upstate softball split its double-header with Furman on Wednesday evening, starting with an 8-2 win over the Paladins which was followed by a 4-3 loss to finish the day. Upstate’s overall record shifts to 26-7 after the mid-week match. The visiting Spartans struck first in game one, with not only one run in the first inning, but three runs in the third and one run in the top of the fourth before the Paladins were able to get on the board in the bottom of the fourth.
