Posh Alexander enters transfer portal; 5 possible landing spots
Houston
Programs that value tough-minded guards will appear often on this list, and that is certainly the case with Kelvin Sampson’s Houston Cougars as well. The Cougars should retain a good amount of their talent, but their backcourt for 2023-24 is uncertain, as Marcus Sasser recently declared for the NBA draft, and Jamal Shead has done the same while maintaining his college eligibility. Regardless of what the roster looks like, Alexander just seems like a good fit with Houston. His defense would certainly help a team that fell short on that end in its tournament loss to Miami, and he is more than capable of providing scoring for Houston while also not necessarily having to be the offensive focal point. The transfer portal hasn’t been a huge factor for Houston in recent years, but it’s possible a guard like Alexander is too good to pass up if there is mutual interest.
