Washington Commanders mock draft 2023: Pick-by-pick predictions
No. 118, Round 4: Eli Ricks, CB, Alabama
Washington stays focused on the secondary in Round 4 and addresses a cornerback room that could use some help alongside Kendall Fuller and Benjamin St. Juste. The Commanders claimed cornerback Cam Dantzler off waivers from the Minnesota Vikings in March which has made the position a bit less of a priority, but the 6-foot-2, 188-pound Ricks has the traits to develop into a perennial starter.

He transferred from LSU to Alabama and missed the majority of the 2022 season, but he was dominant when on the field. Ricks allowed just six catches on 19 targets for 77 yards and broke up five passes on the year. Washington could find itself a fourth-round gem in Ricks.
