Every team to start the season 10-0 or better in MLB history

(BVM) – Projections entering the 2023 MLB season once again slotted the Tampa Bay Rays in their predictable placement within the middle of the AL East. With past seasons showcasing much grander results than the league-wide anticipation, the Rays yet again find themselves on the early track to surprise territory.

While the team has certainly benefited from a soft early schedule following series matchups against the Detroit Tigers, Washington Nationals and Oakland Athletics, the Rays have done all they can to complete the task at hand. With their goal of a deep playoff run, the Rays find themselves chasing more than just their division rivals. Tampa Bay has a chance at making history over the week as it aims to build on to its perfect start.

Only six teams in MLB history have ever started the year 10-0. Two teams stake their claim to the No. 1 spot. Here’s a look at the longest undefeated starts in the sport’s history and just how far those teams went.
