With Morgan On The Mound, Devilettes Shuts Out Bethune-Cookman

ITTA BENA, Miss. – The Mississippi Valley State Devilettes softball program spilt a doubleheader against Bethune-Cookman Wildcats on Monday to collect its first win of the season. Game 1 The Devilettes were outdone by the Lady Wildcats, 6-3. The Lady Wildcats got on the board in the first inning. Desirae Martinez drove in one with a single and took the lead for good with three runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth, an error scored one run for B-CU, and Essence Gibbs singled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run. Morgan Gutierrez was on the rubber for the Devilettes.…
