Jesse Edwards enters transfer portal; Top 5 landing spots

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (BVM) – Jesse Edwards, a 6-foot-11 center, is the newest ACC blockbuster to hit the transfer portal after spending four seasons at Syracuse.
The Orange big man had been a major part of the team’s offensive and defensive structure throughout the end of head coach Jim Boeheim’s tenure with the program, averaging 14.5 points and 10.3 rebounds as a second-year starter this past season. Originally coming in as a three-star recruit from IMG Academy, the Netherlands native needed two seasons off the bench to fully work his way into the starting lineup.

After averaging 12 points and 6.5 rebounds as a junior, Edwards enjoyed a step up in play this past season, adding nearly four rebounds to his season average. With Syracuse.com reporting that Edwards and the program couldn’t work out the current “NIL situation,” the recent transfer will get an opportunity to explore his options elsewhere.
