Tylor Perry enters transfer portal; Top 5 landing spots

DENTON, Texas (BVM) – Tylor Perry is entering the transfer portal after two seasons at North Texas. The 5-foot-11, 182-pound guard averaged 17.3 points while leading the Mean Green to a National Invitational Tournament (NIT) championship. In the championship game against conference rival UAB, Perry had 20 points and five steals as North Texas avenged its C-USA semifinal loss to the Blazers.

Perry was named NIT Most Outstanding Player and was on the NIT All-Tournament Team to go along with his Conference USA Player of the Year award and Conference USA first-team all-conference selection. It was an impressive second year in Denton for Perry, who came to North Texas after playing two years at Coffeyville Community College. While at Coffeyville, he won a NJCAA D-I national championship and averaged 16.2 points during the tournament.

He was Conference USA Sixth Man of the Year last year and then took over the starting role this year. He is a capable scorer, shooting 41.3% from three over his two years at North Texas and also is a solid defender. Perry has a championship pedigree with two national title runs under his belt in the last four years. He is being recruited by Tennessee, Minnesota, Florida, Louisville, Baylor, Arkansas, Texas Tech, Wake Forest, Oklahoma, Creighton, Stanford and Oklahoma State.

Here are five landing spots for Perry in the transfer portal.
