Ranking the top 10 Philadelphia Phillies of all time
8. Robin Roberts
Roberts had a very solid case for being the most commanding hurler of the first half of the 1950s. He turned in six consecutive 20-win seasons and never missed a start in the decade. He was built to last, too, leading the National League in complete games each season from 1952-56. He once had a string of 28 complete efforts in a row from 1952-53.
The Phillies’ Robin Roberts pitched all 17 innings of a game against the Boston Braves #OTD in 1952.
