Los Angeles Chargers mock draft 2023: Pick-by-pick predictions

No. 158, Round 5: Keondre Coburn, DT, Texas

Coburn may not fall this late in the draft, but if he does, the Chargers will be happy to land him late in the fifth round. Last season, Los Angeles was among the worst teams in the NFL in run defense, but bringing in a 6-foot-2, 350-pound gap filler like Coburn could help take care of that. Coburn made nearly 30 tackles for the Texas Longhorns last season, four of which went for loss. He also had a career-best 2.5 sacks. With continued development, the Texas product could become a staple in the middle of the Chargers’ 3-4 defense.
