Top 10 biggest Green Bay Packers NFL draft busts of all time

5. Ahmad Carroll, CB, Arkansas (2004, No. 25 overall)

The Packers haven’t always had success with secondary players early in the draft, as recent players like Kevin King, Josh Jones and Josh Jackson all come to mind as draft busts. However, back in 2004, Green Bay completely whiffed on Carroll. At Arkansas, the cornerback was a two-time first-team All-SEC player who looked like he would be a nice fit alongside Al Harris and Mike McKenzie in the Green Bay secondary.

However, he proved to be anything but. Frequently burned deep while committing far too many pass interference penalties, Carroll flamed out in Green Bay in just over two seasons. He bounced around with the Jaguars and Jets before playing in the Arena Football League and later becoming a Grey Cup champion in the Canadian Football League. That won’t make Packers fans feel any better about passing on the likes of Chris Gamble, Bob Sanders and Karlos Dansby, though.
