Women’s Rowing hosts Mercyhurst and Purdue

MARIETTA, Ohio — The Marietta College women’s rowing team hosted Mercyhurst and Purdue for the Marietta Invitational Saturday (April 22). The varsity 8+ race was run on the Ohio River 2,000-meter course, while race conditions forced the fours to race on the Muskingum River 2,000-meter course. The varsity 8+ race featured little drama as there was considerable open water between each of the three crews. Mercyhurst won the race finishing in 6:49.44) with Purdue crossing in 7:20.94 and Marietta finished third with a time of 7:46.17.
