Drew Maggi debuts at 33; Who are the 10 oldest MLB rookies?

PITTSBURGH (BVM) — The Pittsburgh Pirates called up 33-year-old Drew Maggi on Sunday, and he will look to be one of the oldest players to make his MLB debut after playing in 1,155 minor league games.

While Maggi is no youngster, he’s also not the oldest player to make his big-league debut. These are the 10 oldest rookies in major-league history and what they did when given a chance to play at baseball’s highest level.
