The 6-foot-1 junior averaged 16.1 points on 50% shooting and a nation-leading 16.7 rebounds last season for BYU. Gustin was among the NCAA leaders in double-doubles and was named the West Coast Conference Co-Defensive Player of the Year. In her final game with the Cougars, she dropped 20 points and pulled down 20 points during a first-round loss in the Women’s NIT Tournament.
Gustin’s entrance into the transfer portal with just one year of eligibility remaining is big news for many of the sport’s top programs. The nation’s leading rebounder from a season ago would be a major boost for any team and she’ll likely seek an opportunity to compete for a national championship.
