Offense Tops Defense in Spring Game on Final Play
POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – The annual Marist Football Spring Game was held Friday night at Tenney Stadium, and came down to the game’s final play. A 47-yard field goal by John Reyes with no time remaining lifted Offense to a 31-30 victory over Defense. This year’s game used a point scoring system in which Offense received points for traditional scoring plays, and Defense earned points for turnovers, scores, tackles for losses, three-and-outs, and holding the Offense on fourth down.
