Ranking the top 10 undrafted NFL free agents of all time
9. Tony Romo
Romo was a standout player for Eastern Illinois, winning Ohio Valley Conference Player of the Year three straight seasons, but he went undrafted in 2003.
He received interest from the Dallas Cowboys, and after the draft, he was signed and entered training camp as the third QB on the depth chart. Romo’s play improved over the next three seasons, and he replaced starting QB Drew Bledsoe. Romo spent 12 seasons with Dallas, throwing for 34,183 yards, 248 TDs and becoming a four-time Pro Bowler.
