10 best SEC softball players heading into the postseason
Honorable mention
Danieca Coffey, INF, LSU
Coffey has been tremendous this season for LSU alongside Ciara Briggs and Taylor Pleasants, and it’s hard to leave any of them outside of the top 10. Coffey has some of the best numbers among the trio, ranking sixth in the SEC with a .395 batting average, and third in hits (68).
Charla Echols, INF, Florida
Echols may get overlooked slightly with how good Florida teammate Skylar Wallace has been, but she leads the league with 61 RBIs, and is in the top 10 in total hits (57) and bases (103). She is also a plus defensive player with a conference-best 118 assists.
McKenna Gibson, INF, Tennessee
Gibson is just a sophomore and has had a breakout 2023 season for the Lady Vols, batting .375 with 15 home runs and 57 RBIs, the latter of which are the third-most in the league.
Rylin Hedgecock, UTL, Arkansas
Hedgecock has been one of the best sluggers in the conference this year as the Arkansas redshirt junior had the second-most home runs (20) and RBIs (58) during the SEC regular season.
Sara Mosley, INF, Georgia
Mosley is also a standout defensive player, but her presence at the plate has been crucial for Georgia this year as she’s hit .347 with 16 home runs, 47 RBIs and 117 total bases.
