3. Danny Wuerffel (1993-96)

A 1996 Heisman Trophy winner, Wuerffel set a then-school record of 10,875 career yards (later broken by Chris Leak) and an SEC record with 114 career touchdown passes (later broken by UGA’s Aaron Murray). Wuerffel was a first-team All-American in 1995 and 1996. He led the Gators to four SEC championships and to a national championship in 1996 with a win over Florida State. Wuerffel was also named the SEC’s Player of the Year in 1995 and 1996.
