The NBA postseason continues to play out, while one of the game’s brightest stars is once again not involved. Lillard and the Trail Blazers have not made the playoffs since the 2020-21 season. It is simply not good for the game. There have been rumblings in the past of Lillard wanting out of Portland, but nothing has ever come to fruition. Will this finally be the offseason that it does?

It is easy to root for someone with the loyalty of Lillard who has played 11 seasons for the Trail Blazers, but does he really want to keep doing this? He is 32 years old and the future has not looked bright in the city of roses for quite some time. It would be hard to fault the star point guard if he finally says enough is enough this summer.
