Seth Towns, 25-year-old senior, transferring; 5 landing spots
5. Xavier
There is a lot of uncertainty when it comes to Towns’ recruitment this time around as he was seen as a top transfer target just three years ago, but due to his continued injuries and lack of action at Ohio State, it will be difficult to say who would be interested this time around whether that’s top-tier programs or mid-majors. However, if Towns was interested in staying near his hometown of Columbus, Xavier could be a good spot.
Last season, the Musketeers finished 27-10 with an appearance in the Sweet 16. But Xavier is losing a pair of its top scorers in Souley Boum and Jack Nunge to graduation and they lost backup guard Kyky Tandy to the transfer portal as well. Though Towns is no guarantee, he has just enough potential to perhaps pique the interest of the Musketeers as they look to go even further in the tournament next year. Towns, meanwhile, would have the chance to stay in his home state as he looks to revitalize his career.
Seth Towns has entered the Transfer Portal, per source. He hasn't played since 2020-21 season with Ohio State, has missed three entire seasons with knee and back injuries over course of his career. First played at Harvard in 2016. He was the 2018 Ivy POY.
