Rose Cano Selected to NFCA All-Region Second Team

WASHINGTON – After a standout rookie season as GW’s ace and one of the team’s top batters, first-year dual-threat Rose Cano has been selected to the NFCA All-Region Second Team in the Mid-Atlantic region as a pitcher/utility, the NFCA announced on Thursday. Cano was among the A-10’s top pitchers this season, ranking fourth in total wins (14) and eighth in ERA (2.81). Her ERA was the second-best all-time for a GW rookie pitcher, and her 14 wins landed her in 7th on GW’s all-time single-season wins list.
