Skenes has become a dominant force on the mound in 2023 after transferring to the Tigers’ program from Air Force. Sporting a 2.73 ERA in 2022, Skenes quickly adjusted to SEC competition putting together a masterful 2023 campaign that included a 1.69 ERA and 152 strikeouts. The 6-foot-6 right hander has entered his name into the top of the Pitcher of the Year conversation and should be a major part of the Tigers’ playoff hopes.
