Cam Spencer transferring; 5 landing spots for sharpshooter

1. Northwestern

Perhaps the best fit for Spencer is another Big Ten squad in the Wildcats. Not only does the guard know how to succeed in the conference, but he also has a major connection to the Northwestern program.

Spencer’s older brother, Pat, played the 2019-20 season for the Wildcats as a graduate transfer where he finished second on the team with 10.4 points per game. While Northwestern has added a bit of talent through the transfer portal, they could still use some extra talent with the potential loss of Chase Audige. Though leading-scorer Boo Buie is returning, it is yet to be seen if Audige will use his extra year of eligibility to play one final season, but either way Northwestern could still use Spencer as his shooting and Big Ten experience would help the Wildcats make back-to-back NCAA Tournaments for the first time in program history.
