Sydney Chambley’s four home runs propel Georgia to super regionals
While there were some dominant performances throughout the weekend both in the circle and at the plate, Chambley’s stands out the most, and it helped Georgia win all three of its regional matchups in relatively dominant fashion.
Chambley’s success began in an opening 12-0 win over North Carolina Central in which she knocked a home run and had five RBIs. All 12 runs came in the first inning for the Bulldogs who also no hit the Eagles in five innings.
The following game, Chambley again went yard in an 8-3 win over Virginia Tech. In Georgia’s final regional game on Sunday, Chambley hit two long balls against the Hokies, part of four hits and five RBIs on the day in a 12-3 run-rule victory.

Overall, Chambley hit an incredible .778 with the four homers and 13 RBIs across three games during regionals. No. 14 Georgia will now face off against No. 3 Florida State as the sophomore outfielder looks to continue rolling at the plate.
