Venna Andersen Selected NEC Winter Scholar-Athlete, 27 Women’s Swimmers Honored

By: Adam Rubin BROOKLYN, N.Y. — The Northeast Conference on Monday saluted the achievements of its winter sports student-athletes both in the classroom and in competition. And LIU had a banner day. Three Sharks earned Winter Scholar-Athlete honors from the NEC as the top combined athletic/academic achievers in their sports: women’s swimmer Venna Andersen, men’s swimmer Marcell Matyikó and men’s track’s Jonathan Gonzalez.
