Baseball: Bloomington North, Mooresville, Edgewood, OV all knocked out

SPENCER — Nuts. Absolutely nuts. A late start turned into a late night and good-night for the Edgewood baseball team, which finally succumbed in the eighth inning to Northview, 15-12, at 1:13 a.m. on Thursday morning in the opening round of the Class 3A Owen Valley sectional. It took just over four hours, nine pitchers who threw 425 offerings to the plate, resulting in 27 hits (just one for extra bases), 21 strikeouts and 25 walks. The game naturally ended with the bases loaded.
