Heck, Ozolins Earn All-America Status in NCAA Doubles Championship

ORLANDO, Fla. – Illinois men’s tennis doubles team Hunter Heck and Karlis Ozolins have earned All-America honors after making an Elite Eight run in the NCAA Doubles Championship Thursday afternoon at the UTSA National Campus. No. 37-ranked Heck and Ozolins defeated No. 42-ranked Edoardo Graziani and Kevin Zhu (Penn), 6-4, 6-2 in the Sweet Sixteen to earn the prestigious honor. The duo’s postseason run ended in the Elite Eight, however, when they lost 6-2, 6-7 (1), 1-0 (10-8) to No. 16-ranked Andrew Lutschaunig and James Trotter (Ohio State).
