8th-grade girls hooper with D-I offers has LSU’s attention

BATON ROUGE, La. (BVM) – Kie’Aundria Acree, a top 8th-grade girls basketball player, has been getting noticed by major Division I hoops programs.

At 13, she received an offer from the 2022 national champions, the South Carolina Gamecocks. The now-14-year-old has other top D-1 offers from Florida State, Alabama, Kentucky and Tennessee. She also has interest from Auburn, Georgia and UConn.

She also has made an unofficial visit to the LSU Tigers.

The middle school wing, who is 5-foot-11 and still growing, could soon receive an offer from the reigning national champions at LSU. She made an unofficial visit to Baton Rouge, Louisiana at the start of her 8th-grade season, but has yet to receive an offer.

Acree is expected to be a top talent for the Class of 2027. She was ranked by Top Spot Basketball as the No. 4 overall girls basketball player for her class.

Her stats include a career-high of 46 points and 15 rebounds for the Radium Panthers. She averaged over 20 points a game for her 8th-grade season. She even put up 23 points, 21 rebounds, six blocks and six assists to help her team with the 2023 Deep South middle school championships.

Highlights of Acree often show her great speed, jumps and shooting abilities (shown below).

In terms of her upcoming high school career (Fall 2023), Acree will play for Monroe Comprehensive High School (GA) where her mom is the head coach.

“Acree is not a finished product by any stretch, which might be the scariest part,” said Mike Flynn, the operator of Blue Star Basketball.
