NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – Duquesne University’s David Williams and Matt DeMatteo, of the men’s track and field team, have been honored by the Atlantic 10 Conference in Tuesday’s release of the All-Academic and All-Rookie Teams. Williams, a sophomore from Mechanicsburg, Pa., earned a spot on the All-Academic team, while DeMatteo, a freshman from Allison Park, Pa, ran his way onto the All-Rookie team. Williams was an ICAC/ECAC qualifier in the 400m with a PR of 47.62 in third-place of the Bison Outdoor Classic. He competed in the 400m and 4x400m relay in the A-10 Outdoor Championships.
