5. Billy Cunningham (1978-85)

This legendary Philadelphia 76ers coach has one of the highest regular season winning percentages among head coaches with more than 400 games coached with a .698% winning percentage. In addition to his high win percentage, Cunningham also recorded 454 regular season wins, 66 playoff wins and a .629% playoff winning percentage. He also led the 76ers to three NBA Finals appearances and one championship win, making him not only one of the best coaches without a coach of the year award but one of the best ever.
