After a 5-2 victory in Game 1 for the Lady Volunteers, the senior transfer pitcher made sure to help her Tennessee teammates close out the team’s series against the Texas Longhorns without much worry. Tossing seven scoreless innings, Gottshall cruised past opposing hitters with just two hits allowed to go along with five strikeouts. While ace Ashley Rogers was tasked with the opening game, Gottshall delivered one of the top showings throughout the early rounds of this year’s world series.
