Heron trio earns Academic All-District honors

Three members of the William Smith College cross country team were named to the 2023 Academic All-District Women’s Track & Field and Cross Country Team selected by the College Sports Communicators (formerly CoSIDA). Senior Abby Palin, junior Ainsley Woods and sophomore Abigail Cole were recognized for their achievements in the classroom and in the athletics arena. To be eligible for Academic All-District consideration, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore with one full year at their current institution, maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.50 and have competed in at least 50 percent of the team’s contests.
