Who is Caleb B.? Pro wrestler Kale Dixon on ‘The Bachelorette’
ORLANDO, Fla. (BVM) – Here are five facts about Caleb B., the professional wrestler who is competing on Season 20 of ABC’s “The Bachelorette.” His full name is Caleb Balgaard, but he’s better known to WWE viewers as Kale Dixon.
The 24-year-old wrestler from Orlando, Florida is one of 25 contestants vying for love on the hit reality TV dating show – which is set to premiere on June 26. Here’s some information on his athletic career.
1. Caleb B. is a professional WWE NXT wrestler
Caleb is known to wrestling fans as Kale Dixon. He’s a wrestler for WWE NXT Level Up – which is produced by World Wrestling Entertainment and streams on Peacock and the WWE Network.
He doesn’t have much professional wrestling experience, yet. WWE signed him in August 2022 and he made his WWE debut in January 2023.
At 6-foot-3, 220 pounds, Caleb is known for his size and strength in the wrestling ring (shown below).

2. Caleb B. has a losing record
Unfortunately, Caleb has a record of 1-15 in NXT – and seven of those were pinfall losses.
He won his very first match when he defeated Quincy Elliott during his most recent go on May 30.
3. Caleb B. played Division I baseball
Caleb used to dream about becoming a professional baseball player. In high school, he was ranked as the No. 51 best shortstop in the nation. His prep career stats included 15 HRs, 50 stolen bases and 106 RBIs.
He transferred to four different programs during his college years. He played JUCO at McLennan Community College and Iowa Western Community College. He also played for the South Alabama Jaguars and the Indiana Hoosiers.
Caleb told the Gray Area Podcast that he was a potential fifth-round pick in the 2020 MLB Draft. However, not only did he go undrafted, but he also didn’t get signed during free agency. At the time of the 2020 interview, Caleb noted that he would try to get drafted the following year. Unfortunately, he never got picked up, so he made the pivot to wrestling.
4. Caleb B. is making history for athletes on “The Bachelorette”
Caleb is just the second professional wrestler to ever compete on “The Bachelorette,” according to Gerweck.
Bachelor Nation fans may recall Kenny King – current wrestler for Impact Wrestling – who was on Season 13 back in 2017.

5. Caleb B. could soon elevate his status in the ring
Caleb isn’t the biggest star in NXT since he’s new and isn’t finding much success. It’s another reason why he only has 5,000 followers on Instagram.
Catching a case of Bachelor Nation Fandom would elevate his status in the wrestling world. Take NHRA driver Jordan Vandergriff who gained over 10,000 followers on Instagram after his elimination from Episode 2 of Season 19 of “The Bachelorette.”
A large fan base is huge for professional wrestlers and this show might be the boost that he needs.
