ESPN dropped an updated version to their way-too-early college basketball rankings on June 2nd. The ranking saw the Volunteers take a jump from 7th to 5th. ESPN staff writer Jeff Borzello made these rankings. The Vols find themselves one of five SEC teams in the top 25. Arkansas, Texas A&M, Alabama, and Kentucky also find themselves in the top 25. Auburn and Mississippi State were also mentioned as two out of five teams who were “next in line,” according to Borzello.
