10 greatest NBA players to play junior college basketball
8. Jimmy Butler, Tyler Junior College
Coming out of Tomball High School in Texas, Butler attended Tyler for one season where he averaged a team-high 18.1 points with 7.7 rebounds and 3.1 assists. Following his lone year with the Apache, Butler spent three years at Marquette before being selected No. 30 overall by the Chicago Bulls in the 2011 NBA Draft.
Through his 11 seasons in the league, Butler has been named an All-Star six times, All-NBA five times and Most Improved Player for the 2014-15 season and has plenty of time to add more accolades.
