Hamilton edges Wildcats 4-2 to end softball season

O-K Blue Conference co-champion Hamilton ended Wayland’s softball season 4-2 Saturday morning in the semifinal round of the Division 2 regional tournament at Berrien Springs. The Hawkeyes, who improved their overall season record to 34-6, pushed across the winning runs in the top of the seventh inning, breaking a 2-2 tie. Sophomore hurler Harmony Laker went the distance on the mound and absorbed the loss.
