BOSTON — Trevor Story stood at shortstop at Fenway Park on Tuesday and fired across the diamond to first base. It was 3 1/2 hours before first pitch, and the throw was made in front of a handful of training staff and coaches rather than throngs of fans, but it was a notable step nonetheless.
