Top 10 all-time leading passers in Washington HS football
9. Canon Racanelli, Hockinson (2014-17)
Unlike Heaps and a few others on this list, Racanelli wasn’t a highly-sought after recruit, but displayed some tremendous ability on the gridiron during his high school career. A dual-threat quarterback, Racanelli threw for 9,654 yards and 121 touchdowns while completing 566 passes in his career at Hockinson High School in Brush Prairie.
Racanelli went on to play college football at Division II Central Washington University, eventually transitioning from quarterback to defensive back. Racanelli – who now works as a full-time fishing guide in his home state – is part of a strong football legacy within his family as his dad, Josh Racanelli, played quarterback at Portland State, while his brother, Sawyer Racanelli, set numerous receiving records himself at Hockinson, and currently plays in college at Montana following a stint at Washington.
Might not have enough in #280characters to fit Canon Racanelli’s season/career accomplishments. He is a state champ and The Columbian’s All-Region football Player of the Year.
