2. Shuler Bentley, Byrnes (2011-13)

Bentley quickly established himself as one of the best quarterbacks in South Carolina high school history. He was a back-to-back Gatorade South Carolina Football Player of the Year his last two years at Byrnes. He threw nine touchdowns in a game and during his senior year, he set the single-season record for touchdowns thrown with 71 touchdowns. To go with the 71 touchdowns, he also had 5,032 passing yards that year. Bentley graduated with 13,245 passing yards and a state–record 177 touchdown passes before going on to play football at Old Dominion.
