EAST LANSING, Mich. (BVM) – The state of Michigan has produced an abundance of football talent over the years. Whether it be standout high school players, college stars, or even NFL Pro Bowlers, there have been many memorable names to come out of the Great Lakes State.
Over the past two decades since high school recruits have been officially rated, Michigan’s place among high school football’s elite has only grown. Here is a look at the top 10 highest-rated Michigan high school football players of all time – which 247Sports determined as players from the Class of 2000 to the Class of 2023.
The order of this list is determined by 247Sports’ Composite Rating – “a proprietary algorithm that compiles prospect ‘rankings’ and ‘ratings’ listed in the public domain by the major media recruiting services. It converts average industry ranks and ratings into a linear composite index capping at 1.0000.”
A player rating of 1.0000 indicates that the high school athlete was ranked as a No. 1 prospect across all services.
