Patterson was another big-time national recruit. The Hubbard linebacker was a top-50 player in the country when he announced his commitment to the Oklahoma Sooners. He did not see much playing time in Norman and would wind up at Joliet Junior College before finishing his career at Kansas State.

Patterson did not play beyond the college level.
