The Huskies found themselves as one of Mitchell’s top options back in 2019 after the then-four-star forward made one of his few official college visits to the Big East program. With guard/forward Cam Spencer coming over from Rutgers, and returning sophomore Alex Karaban set for a starting spot, Mitchell could provide a much-needed role for a team that is now down a plethora of guards/wings to the NBA. With plenty of talent remaining that featured during UConn’s run to a national championship, Mitchell could compete alongside Karaban who could slide back in front of Spencer for the small forward job.
