Will Torey Krug be traded?; Top 5 potential landing spots

ST. LOUIS (BVM) — The St. Louis Blues made a run to the second round of the 2022 Stanley Cup playoffs, but the Blues recorded just 81 points this past season and failed to reach the playoffs. Now with the NHL’s cap going up from $82.5 million to $83.5 million, the Blues could be getting rid of key players like Torey Krug.

The Blues have $28.5 million invested in seven defensemen, including Krug, and a move surrounding one of them will most likely happen. On Saturday, Krug was nearly dealt to Philadelphia but exercised his no-move clause.

However, just because he didn’t waive the no-move clause for the Flyers doesn’t mean he wouldn’t waive it for other teams. Take a look at five possible destinations for the talented defenseman.
