NASHVILLE, Tenn. (BVM) – While the first overall pick of the 2023 NHL Draft stayed true to form, the rest of the opening round enjoyed plenty of surprises as organizations looked to secure long-term building blocks for their futures.
With teams around the league finalizing their draft boards over the last month, the past two days in Nashville allowed for each NHL franchise to restock some of the talent set to hit the ice over the next few years. As teams adjusted to high-quality players slipping down the boards, a few teams stood out above the rest.
