5. Houston Rockets

Harden has long been rumored to be working on a reunion with the franchise he won an MVP with in 2018. A big reason for Harden’s interest in a return to Houston is the fact that the Rockets currently have the most available cap space of any NBA team. However, Houston’s main focus this offseason has been Toronto Raptors free agent guard Fred VanVleet. In addition to Harden reportedly wanting to find his way to a contending team in a trade scenario, a return to the Rockets is unlikely at this point but can’t be ruled out, especially with their crop of young talent.
