1. Matt Duchene, C, Dallas Stars 

It was a surprising move, but the Predators decided to buy out Duchene’s contract, which made him a free agent. During his time in Nashville, he recorded 197 points, highlighted by the 2021-22 season, where he scored 43 goals (franchise record). However, as a free agent, he quickly found a home in Dallas, signed a one-year, $3 million contract, and there he will look to replace Max Domi’s contributions and help the Stars capture their first Stanley Cup since 1999
