6. Tip O’Neill, LF (1883-92)
The 6-foot-1 Nova Scotian made his name in the late 19th century. O’Neill began his career in 1883 with the New York Gothams. But he would have his greatest success with the St. Louis Browns. In 1886, he won a World Series with St. Louis. O’Neill captured the 1887 AA Triple Crown. He then followed that up with the 1888 AA batting title.
