Top 10 players most likely to win the 2023 Open Championship
10. Matt Fitzpatrick
Fitzpatrick hasn’t had the strongest season, and his odds at most sportsbooks to win being the lowest of any player on this list reflect that. Still, it is hard to count out the England native who grew up about a two-hour drive from Hoylake, and his game is one that can get going in any given week. That was the case when Fitzpatrick won the RBC Heritage back in April, part of multiple top 10s he has had on the year. One of those came at the Masters, while Fitzpatrick also put together a solid tie-for-17th finish more recently at the U.S. Open. A missed cut thanks to a second-round 73 at last week’s Genesis Scottish Open is a concern, but the 28-year-old has finished 26th or better in his last three Open Championships, and has the ability to climb the leaderboard further this week.
