UTSA signee qualifies for U.S. Amateur in thrilling fashion

HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, Fla. — UTSA signee and incoming freshman Brock Blais qualified for the U.S. Amateur in thrilling fashion on Wednesday at Mission Inn Resort & Club’s El Campeón course. Blais, who signed last fall to join the Roadrunners, holed out his second shot from the fairway for an eagle-two on the fourth hole of a playoff to secure the third and final automatic qualifying spot out of the qualifier.
